President’s Note:
I have had enough of shoveling snow and I thought the ground hog didn’t see his shadow, so where is Spring? We had a good meeting to start off the year with good attendance and good discussions and action. It is always nice to see new faces at our meetings because being involved is the only way an organization will stay strong! We went through the agenda items and we had a good discussion on parking. A committee was formed to come up with letters we can send to businesses, which will express our concerns and inform the business of the regulations. If you know of a business or a facility that has made improvements to provide access to everyone submit a nomination form for the Open Door Award. Mail the nomination forms to: Bruce Makholm, 1112 W Spring St, Appleton, WI 54914. Our goal is to present the award on a quarterly basis, so we continue to accept nominations.
