Discussion turned to what organizations would benefit from a donation from DCI; John Jenkins suggested checking with the new director of the Bubolz Nature Preserve for their immediate needs before committing our usual donation; UWO’s Fishing Without Boundaries may need our help, as would Special Need Scouting of the Bay Council,(who could use $250.00), and the Making the Ride Happen group, who always needs support; Winchester-Larsen Lions Club is worthy as well. Discussion tabled for future meeting, and we took a pizza break. (Pizza Hut – not too special, actually.)
Sign –up sheet was passed around for shifts at Oshkosh Festival Food for the Knights of Columbus-sponsored Tootsie Roll Drive to be held May 2, 3, and 4.
Wheelchair Wash at Fox Valley Technical College is Saturday, May 3rd.
DCI and Options for Independent Living will share table at event.

Subsequent meeting will be the first Thursday of each month at the same place/time. It was pointed out that there is legislation pending that will shorten Medicare/Medicaid paid rehab in nursing homes could be shortened from 120 to 60 days; if concerned, Options for Independent Living has bill posted and legislative contacts available.
Meeting adjourned at 8:13; next meeting March 24th.
